September at Silverleaf Academy

Can you believe we are nearly approaching the end of the 2025 school year? Our Hawega girls are thriving at school, making great leaps in their academics and shining brighter than ever! Their Swahili and English are improving day by day, and by now - every Hawega girl has her own favorite school subject!

The girls attended Silverleaf's Grade 7 graduation ceremony and watched as they prepared for their national exams! Some of the girls even dressed up as what they wanted to be when they grow up!

On September 15th, cofounder Brittany and Brian Azzara hosted an intimate dinner with our local Hawega family, with special guest Krupa - Director of Silverleaf Academy. 

It was an absolute pleasure to have Krupa , Co-Founder & CEO at Silverleaf Academy attend our dinner. What was truly special was her reaction to just getting a glance of the 'behind the scenes' of The Hawega Foundatiod, and the community and care we have cultivated together! While Krupa runs Silverleaf Academy, she doesn't always have the opportunity to see the people that make our mission possible. Her reassurance and faith in us to grow meant the world to everyone in attendance!

Together, we shared stories, learned more about the girls in Tanzania, and celebrated the growing impact we are making as a community.
